Dyeing outgrowth
Step-by-step tutorial on how to color your hair!
Tip! Want to rinse out your color in the shower? Put on a garment that you can easily put over your head without touching your hair.
Below you will also find an explanation video!
Step 1.
Apply a towel around the neck to protect the clothing; if necessary, secure the towel with a clip. Next, brush the hair thoroughly until there are no knots. Then use a comb or the back of a brush to make a center parting in the hair.
Make a center parting and color it first
Step 2.
Put on the plastic gloves and take the brush with some coloring on it. Color the middle parting first.
Step 3.
Next, make a parting from the highest point of the head to the top of the ear and color this parting.
Continue making separations and color them
Step 4.
Continue making separations. With each parting you make, always color the part where there is no color product yet. Repeat this until all the hair you want to color has the color.
Step 5.
Now comb all the hair back and color the contour line with some more coloring. This will ensure that all the hair has the color product on it.
Don’t forget to color the contour line
Step 6.
After applying the coloring, it is time to remove any stains on the skin. If it stays on for too long, you may not be able to get it off easily. Fortunately, using a cotton pad or makeup cloth can easily clean your skin. Just be careful not to wipe the color away from the hair.

How long should the hair dye take effect?
Often the soaking time is between 30 to 40 minutes. If you color the hair lighter than your own hair color (often the color grades between 8 and 10), then you must keep the entire 40-minute soaking time. If you color the hair darker, this depends on the hair thickness. With fine hair it is enough to let the coloring take effect for 30 minutes, while with thick hair it is wise to keep 40 minutes.
If you leave the color in for less than 30 minutes, the coloring may not fully cover and outgrowth may be visible through the new color. If you leave the coloring in for longer than 40 minutes, the color may turn out darker than hoped.
How do you rinse out hair dye?
Have you waited long enough? Rinse your hair out mark warm water so the hair is thoroughly clean. Dampen the hair and massage the color loose. Then rinse the color out with just water. Is the almost all the color out? Now you can grab the shampoo for colored hair. Wash your hair thoroughly. Rinse the shampoo and repeat the previous step to get the last of the color out of your hair. As a final step, finish with conditioner suitable for colored hair. This will allow the hair cuticles to close.
